    Keeping the Right Perspective

    Keeping the Right Perspective

Recently my husband and I went though a very tough week of loss both personally and financially. As I began to walk down the path of worry on this dismal journey God stopped me. He reminded me that the key to overcoming in this life is all about perspective. How I chose to VIEW my circumstances was going to make all the difference in how easily and peacefully I overcame them. He was right and it helped me to stop the progression of fear and look for the possibilities that He was placing in front of us. Jesus said that we would have troubles in this life, but to be confident and courageous-because He had overcome this world and its issues. Because we are in Him we can overcome Life’s problems too-As long as we keep the right perspective.

    Got Fruit??

    Got Fruit??

So many times we think of "fruit" as things we "do" for God - missions, evangelism, ministry, worship, etc but the truth is, Jesus was talking more about the "spiritual" fruit here of : love, joy, peace, patience , kindness, faithfulness, goodness, gentleness and self control. When we abide in Jesus and these things are evident and flowing through our lives it brings great glory to God. The evidence of the truth of Christ is clearly seen by those who are around us just by the way we live our "fruit-filled" lives.

    John 15:4-5
Dwell in Me, and I will dwell in you. [Live in Me, and I will live in you.] Just as no branch can bear fruit of itself without abiding in (being vitally united to) the vine, neither can you bear fruit unless you abide in Me. I am the Vine; you are the branches. Whoever lives in Me and I in him bears much (abundant) fruit.
    John 15:8
When you bear (produce) much fruit, My Father is honored and glorified, and you show and prove yourselves to be true followers of Mine.

    Failure + Learning = Growth

    Failure + Learning = Growth

Many times we can become discouraged when we decide to take a risk and things don’t pan out the way we expected or hoped. But God encourages us to try again anyway because, from His perspective, the whole point is about the PROCESS. Even if you fail taking a risk, you can still learn. Learning is growth. When we fail but we learn in the process, we grow. It is our growth that builds maturity, opens up more of our creativity and eventually helps lead to our success.
